Abandon places…Trälen is an abandon place in Kungälv, North of Gothenburg.
If you look at Jan Jörnmarks site about abandon places in Sweden and also in other parts of the world, it’s very nice photos, very, very interesting and I really like this kind of places and I’m very happy for the tip from a friend who told me about Trälen, and I’m also glad that friends with car would go there by me… even if it’s possible to take the bus from Gothenburg…

”Några mil norr om Göteborg ligger Trälen, en semesterö som Volvo utvecklade för sina anställda på 1950-talet.
Med 1970- och 80-talen kom mer billig charterturism till Medelhavet och andra krav på komfort och bekvämlighet.Volvo sålde i mitten av 1990-talet Trälen till privata intressenter. Den drogs sedan in i det göteborgska försöket att starta ett lågprisflygbolag. Goodjet blev aldrig någon succé och istället fortsatte ön att förfalla.Förmodligen kommer dock rivningar snart att inledas, varefter mycket stiliga bostadsrätter är planerade att uppföras på ön.

My last bath this summer, at least in Sweden, you never know, may be I go to some warmer country now when the autumn is here to stay…
We had a really great day, with this exciting outing. A lot of nice views, a lot of photos of interesting things and houses etc.
