bear hunt...

I’m from the North of Sweden from the beginning, I have grooved up on a small island called Alnö, 10 km from Sundsvall city on the east cost of Sweden.
My parents and my sister with family and my grand father still live there…
I have been living in Gothenburg for 21 years now.

In the beginning of this summer a rumour showed up, some one has seeing a bear on this small island, and everyone started to talk about it… Even I!
I thought it was a crazy thing, how could it be possible to have a bear on this small island with all the people living there?!
My mother told me that it was possible that the bear has swim over the sea, that it was “true” because someone has found bear droppings…
But I thought it was some kind of tale… BUT, know we or I have proof, a bear has been at the island and now it’s shoot to dead on a small summer island outside the main island Alnö, just a stone’s throw from the main island.
The bear weight 170 kg!!! It was not a little teddy bear we talking about… But I don’t like to kill animals just because they are big, but when they come to close to the people, may be it’s necessary?!

hi Paula
I am new in Sundsvall (I came from Israel two weeks ago) and I just came across your blog while looking for information about the city.

Your story about Alnö made me want to visit there.

Hi!
Nice that you are in Sundsvall, it´s a long trip from Israel, I can really recommend you to visit Alnö and Spikarna, the south part of Alnö, it´s very very nice places out there... summer time is of course the best time, but also early autumn.
I hope you will like it!

With thoughts Paula.
