Britta Grönstrand and SMHI issue a class 2 warning...

I had plans to take a walk to the gallery Majnabben and look at Britta Grönstrands exhibition, but today we had a lot of snow, little like chaos in this part of Sweden, it is snowing a lot for being in this part of Sweden and SMHI issue a class 2 warning, so may be it’s better to be indoors and concentrate on my own pieces this day?!

IF the snow is less tomorrow, I may be have the time to run to the gallery, the last day of the exhibition and see it… I think it looks interesting and I have run into Björn Skogström a couple of times and he has told me about the exhibition too.

SMHI is an abbreviation for Sveriges Meteorologiska och Hydrologiska Institut, which is Swedish for Sweden's Meteorological and Hydrological Institute. Varning klass 2: Väderutveckling väntas som kan innebära fara för allmänheten, stora materiella skador och stora störningar i viktiga samhällsfunktioner. Allmänheten uppmanas att följa upp ny information på Internet, radio eller TV.

Vid snömängder motsvarande ca 20 mm eller mer i smält form på 12 timmar, vid frisk vind ca 12 mm eller mer på 12 timmar. Medför stora trafikproblem, kan speciellt vid temperaturer nära 0 även ge störningar i el och teleförsörjningen.

SMHI, Sveriges meteorologiska och hydrologiska institut, är en svensk statlig myndighet med uppgift att ta fram prognoser för väder, vind och vattentillgång. SMHI bildades 1945 och lokaliserades i början till Stockholm, men finns sedan 1975 i Norrköping på Folkborgsvägen 1 bredvid SVT Norrköping, efter ett beslut i Sveriges riksdag 1971 om decentralisering av flera av den svenska statens verk.
