Hi Paula! I like this pieces, is that paper o plàstic that looks me paper? The photographs are nice also, the ilumination makes on the second one a shape as an human face! Whith love! Montserrat
It’s plastic from different everyday life boxes melt together; I really, really like this piece too… It’s absolutely a seed to something else and that was/is that mission about this workshop, to find new way of working with the material, to see what’s happen IF I don this or that… I also saw the shadow of a face when I was taking photos of all this things, I think that add a new dimension into it, a dimension to work further with.
When you work like this, you never know what’s going to show up, that’s the best part I think, to see and get curios… Later you have to take responsibility, take care and take it further I F you found something interesting in the piece that become.
So the idea with the workshop is in three steps; 1.Pick up some material. 2. Investigate in the material, see what’s happen if you do different things with the material, to heat it up and burn it is almost always good, always something happens. 3. Take responsibility, take care, inspired of what’s happened….
I have a Master of Fine Arts in applied arts and crafts degree, I’m curios about life and I like a lot of things, everyday life things transformed into art is one of my interesting…
Hanging around with friends, travel, reading a good/interesting book is doing my life good.
I will have this blog to showing the times between, the life, the process and all kind of inspiration sources for my art work.
I’m working mostly with body related art; jewellery art, but I also lecturing and working with photo and enamel… My focus is on recycling material in different shapes.
I holding speeches about my way of working and why… for galleries, art clubs or school that need inspiration or some new views or just curious about whom I am as a jewelry artist.
Workshops are also something that I´m doing. From children to adults.
If you run a gallery, work at schools or other places that could be interesting about my art as a jewelry artist don´t hesitate to contact me for a show, speech or workshop.
