geranium or pelargon in Swedish…

I got this pelargon as a good bye present from the work that I quit in the end of last month.
It’s a nice red spot in my working space and in my kitchen as well…

working place – working process…

To do creative things, it’s necessary to have a space to work in… I’m using my kitchen as my workshop and even if I live in a small apartment, I think it’s a good solution, I create in chaos, but that gives me more ideas, things pop up and started processes under the time I working with a piece… I also use my computer to connect with people, to do changes with some of my images, I use the computer as a tool to get further but also as a tool for important stuff as doing opening cards, press release texts and so on…
If you work as an artist it so many things that you need to do and handle by yourself, some of it is about to having control over your own work and process but the other is that you can’t afford to pay some one to do things for you, you have to relay on your own possibilities.

Here are some photos where I stand right now, today… around two weeks before my solo exhibition in my hometown Sundsvall.

It’s about the space, the ideas and also sketches of how I will take some photos with model later on… the chaotic working space where things happen.

spire...

I put a seed of an orange in my flower pot and now a small light green plant has started to spire there, an amazing experience, these days so many fruits are sterile, so it’s hard to get some thing to grow…

handlebars and kettle holders on a fence…

A rainy cold culture Saturday here in Gothenburg, but even if it was cold and rainy it was a great day with a lot of good meetings with colleges, artists and some friends that I run into, that I haven’t seen for about 5 years…

...

A funny way to dress the tree… First I saw this tree and then I visit the Maria Boij and Maria Luostarinen exhibition; May I cry now?
A strange coincidence, which they was working with trees, the ideas of tree creatures and so on…

Maria Boij and Maria Luostarinen...

Maria Luostarinen
Pannrummet... Maria and Maria how have a show at the gallery at Konstepidemin and also in the nice show room; Pannrummet…

I was talking mostly to Maria Luostarinen about the thoughts behind the exhibition, the collaboration between these two artist, one who work 3-D, Maria Boij and Maria Luostarinen who work 2-D with paintings, the both artist work in a similar way, using trees, shoes and long noses in their art work, that was some of the things who lead this two artist to a collaboration.
I like their show very much and they was to nice persons to talk with, to hear about why and how they build it up, the ideas behind…
I can absolutely recommend this exhibition, and when you are at Konstepidemin, you can’t forgot to visit Pannrummet there also a installation taking place, also from this two artist.

Here you can see more photos and some info,

Norman Weber…

Norman Weber… I didn’t take so many photos from the exhibition, I was talking to Norman about his jewellery, and how he made them and the material he use. Very nice talk and also very interesting to hear how other work and witch solutions they come up with.
I like Normans jewellery, both choose of material but also the size of the jewellery…
