Delicious! What a great taste for the eyes and mind!
Right now I wish that I have the opportunity to transform me to the other side of the world, to see this amazing colorful jewellery exhibition. Thanks for internet; I can be apart even if I sit in a rainy Gothenburg… Love it!!!

Hybrid
Geology is a new exhibition of Kate Rohde's resin jewellery in an installation
reminiscent of a psychedelic crystal cave. Inspired by her ongoing interest in
merging elements of natural history across zoology, botany and geology, the
jewellery and installation will feature flowers and crystals sprouting together
out of cuffs and stalagmites with hooves, paws, antlers and heads. Also
incorporated into the show will be volcanos erupting with colourful hair lava,
and totem-polesque stacks of bracelets.
Kate
Rohde is a visual artist who completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at the
Victorian College of the Arts in 2001. Since then
she has held several solo exhibitions and been involved in numerous group
shows. Her work is included in a number of public collections including the
National Gallery of Victoria, Bendigo
Art Gallery
and the Art Gallery of South Australia. She is represented by Karen Woodbury Gallery, Melbourne.
