Lisa Björkes working process and what’s come up from the workshop at KOUR3 week.
Lisa peeled of layer by layer… first she started with wood from the surroundings and then she went to the supermarket and both some coloured candles, the candle was colour on the outside and when she started to peel the first layer of, it turn into white… Interesting way to work, to first look at the outside of colour and then discover the inside, calmer, less colour and also “new” shapes… the candle wax was ease to shape into other shapes, then it was from the beginning, from the supermarket.
I like the way she show us other that the first impression may be aren’t just enough, you have to look deeper, may be one more time…
A colourful girl with a lot of thoughts, even if the surface looks colourful, the deep is deeper…
You have to check it out and think what more could it be, behind the surface.
I really really like Lisa and her work, Lisa is a person that I can feel happy with, to laugh and be “crazy” with in a “grounded” way… Hard to explain, but I feel comfortable, trust her and are also very happy in her company. It could be that we both have our roots in the north of Sweden, or at least in the middle of Sweden… a little bite up any way. We have been raise up just a stone throw from each other (even if it’s year between us) we have also more or less the same social background, so may be that’s things who counts when you feel comfortable with some one?! We also have more or less the same kind of work just to get money for/to do what we want to do most; jewellery.
