Chinese artist Li Xiaofeng, creates 'porcelain clothing' that is inspired by traditional Chinese art dating back to the 10th century. He sews ancient fragments of porcelain onto leather undergarments to create full-length dresses and men's jackets -- complete with neckties. The 'clothes' open on the sides or back, just like any other garment and can be worn! The Virginia Miller Gallery in Coral Gables, Florida is showing the creations of Li Xiaofeng as part of their show, Contemporary Chinese Art Born of Ancient Traditions, running through February 2009. I discovered Li Xiaofeng on Trendology.org.
