turquoise-blue...

An opening gift from Stina Widén Samuelsson, she knows what my colour is!
Thank you Stina!!!

a thought by e-mail...

Thank you Katarina for your lovely tulip card by e-mail!
I love colourful tulips and I’m glad that you are thinking of me.

day 2...

Day 2, small details and two cup of coffee with Johan Svanbom, it is his cups, really really nice to have coffee in.
The sign with my name was on the window today… today it was the press release day, but no press showed up, it’s hard to been an artist in a big city… You need publicity to be visible and when they haven’t time, money or interesting for your things, you are invisible for the citizens and that’s not good at all, I have to blame the Swedish government and the culture- athletic minister that makes it hard to be an artist in this country these days, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth is a big joke, just the idea that she is a minister for both culture and athletic events and sports make me wonder… it reflects on the society in the totality… what’s happen on the internal level happens also at municipal level.

I have to trust my own contact net and hope that people will spread it as much as they manage.

Here you can find post about my exhibition at gallery Sintra, on going right now…

day 1, lunch time...

I had a sushi as lunch at Thursday, I love sushi but I have to say that this probably was the last time I eat at fish sushi anyway, I have been reading Jonathan Safran Foers book; eating animal and it didn’t taste good to know about the fish industrial and the king prawn is politic incorrect to buy and eat. So by by king prawn and the other fish on the sushi menu, I can and will be eating vegetable sushi from now on.
With knowledge you can’t shut. You have to act and take part or take part against all the strange and awful things going on in our world… I think this could be the substance of my jewellery exhibition this time, you have to be wear of your life, what you eat who you act what you aloud you to do and think, to be clear over all the good and bad forces around us… Of course I think it’s better to do small things then noone… I’m not a perfect person, but I hope that the things I am doing is as rings on the water, some day it will be a change… and together with other who think more or less the same we will be strong.

I’m just a single stone in the universe… but even a single stone can make difference, think about it, when you get a pebble in your shoes, it hurts and it not easy to walk further…

day 1...

I started to build my coming up exhibition; I went to gallery Sintra in the morning to met Kerstin Sarvimäki who was the one to help me with the hanging, I had a huge press in my body this morning, I have to arrange with the big posters for the exhibition, the place that have done it for me had done it completed wrong and I needed to arrange and change it before I could do anything else… I will never use this company for more work in the future, they was not professional at all… In the end it shows up that the posters were 83 cm instead of 90 cm, and that’s bad in the end. The heights of the posters aren’t 200 cm either.

BUT it ends up very very well in the end, with good and helpful people at the gallery my pulse went down to the normal in the end of the day.

can you sense the feeling?

I catch this pipe guy and I’m not sure what the pipe is doing… Is it a day after a great party or has it as me work very very hard?

This is approximately how I have felt the last months, I don’t know if I have been creative or if I have puke… or may be taking care of...

On Saturday I will know…

I’m grateful!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope and wish you all had a great Happy Valentines Day!

I didn’t expect some gift or other things this day, but the first thing that happen this morning was that I wake up to a white winter landscape and it wasn’t as cold as it has been for many days now, later on I get a mail from my lovely Tova and my neighbour Viola had bought me flowers and chocolate for today, what more can I expect???

Some days thoughts and gift come to me when I expect it least of all.

here I am among others…

http://pinterest.com/mangomerle/contemporary-jewelry/

I found this site about contemporary art on Internet, I’m pleased that I am one of all the great jewellery artists there, some are my friends and some are colleges and friends and some I have no idea about yet, but I really really enjoy looking at other jewellery pieces. It’s so many nice, great and interesting jewellery pieces/artist out there, for inspiration or just for beautifulness.

Take a look, you can follow one image to other blogs, which is some of the best things with these media, the ring on the water effect, you start at one images and can come as far as you want in interesting and new directions.

This is one of some other Christmas gifts that I got from my friend and college Joanne Haywood in Christmas time and now I use it as the coffeeholic I am…

I’m glad when friends know what I needed.

I’m not sure where this piece will be or fit in yet…

welcome!!!

EVERY DAY – each day like the next, but not quite....

Humour, warmth and austerity – three words I associate with my jewellery.

I experience colour and shape in almost everything in my surroundings. There is inspiration to be found in everything - in a meeting, a shape, a feeling, a reflection, a movement, in a text and so on...
Nothing is too small and insignificant so as not to be taken seriously – everything has a meaning at any given time or place.

I make unique, wearable sculptural pieces of jewellery that are free-standing sculptures when they are not worn on the body.

The size of jewellery and the fact that it is worn on the body interests me and that is why I have chosen to work with jewellery as an art form.

I choose my materials from what I find around me, at home, on a walk or at a flea market... ideas and issues decide my choice of material.

What interests me is to give the materials new energy, to put materials and objects into a new context; jewellery, based on today’s consumer society.

I want the original materials to shine through, first I want the viewer to see and experience the piece of jewellery, but then at a second glance I hope the viewer recognizes the materials/objects I have used, life is revealed if you take the time, time past and present emerge into each other and create a new story.....

support from my niece Tova...

I have been working and working for a very long time now and it’s amazing to get love letters from a little one that I really care about; it makes the offer so much more meaningful.
