colourful and playful and also very elegant at the same time, I think...

A resin necklace that I bought at my trip to Louisiana, Denmark this week…

When I saw this I know that it was a ”Paula” necklace and I’m glad that I bought it and these days I’m a proud wearer of it.

almost one year earlier…

Almost one year earlier…

On Saturday 17 of April me and my friend Anita took a car trip from Gothenburg to Denmark, visiting Lousiana and the exhibition of Pipilotti Rist, we got a lot of more interesting art at our trip, and even if I have lived in Copenhagen for awhile I had never visit Louisiana before, and it’s a shame! It’s a great art centre and I love it!

At this weekend Europe has this ash dust cloud over us from Island. It was a little bite strange to take the car so far and don’t know what gone happen IF the ash dust cloud mixed up with rain and fall down at us… It doesn’t happen; it was just an ordinary car trip with good company and a lot of interesting art.

Here is some of all the photos I was taking at that time, it was a lot of nice views, hard to let them be there, I want to take them with me home, and so I did with my cameras help.

I have to say that I admire Pipilotti Rist very very much and I’m glad that I had the opportunity to see this…

Pipilotti Rist – Homo sapiens sapiens
7 January – 25 April 2010

Sensual, vivid and technicoloured visions of Paradise soared above museum guests lying on the floor of Louisiana's Hall Gallery. Swiss artist Pipilotti Rists Homo sapiens sapiens captured reviewers as well as scores of viewers with her poetic video installation.”

“Two naked Eve figures floated innocently and lustily around on the cealing of the Hall Gallery, when Homo sapiens sapiens was shown. Luring and elevating Louisiana's guests into a colour saturated, Paradisiac universe.”

for short, a fantastic day in good company…

This Haiku place gets 4 lighthouses in Göteborgs Posten 25/2 2011, the local newspaper, I can’t understand it… it’s 4 of 5 lighthouses, the place is among the second best by restaurants in Gothenburg and I understand how they were thinking… I have been to much better sushi places, cleaner and better prices too.

I spend my day with my friend Anita, first we visit the flea market; Holmens and did some findings after that we went to a sushi bar that I read about yesterday in the newspaper, I have to say that I get a little bite disappointed, first my idea was that it would to get back in time, to the time when I was visit Tokyo (2000) and eat in this kind of places with a chef in the middle and the food spinning around at a rolling hoop, the concept was more or less the same, but it was miles away from Japan I can tell, it was not fresh and it was not as good and fresh that sushi should be, I think… BUT now I have tried it and that’s it.

Then we ended up at a confectionery with old ancestry, drinking coffee and eating a lovely princess cake/prinsesstårta, talking and joking about that this will be our everyday life when we get older.

The sun has shine and it has been a wonderful Saturday, worth remembers as one of the days with life quality.

Down at this post you can see some of my findings; it was a porcelain animal, a pin of målarsmurfen/ the painting smurf, some metal horses that I will have in some jewellery later on, a glass with the characters Obelix and Asterix on. And a vase that I thought had the right size for my small apartment to have coltsfoot in, in springtime and some plastic flowers that I will cut to pieces and use in my jewellery.

a gift...

By the mailman, from my friends and college Joanne Haywood in Kent UK.

Yesterday when I come home from work a package was waiting for me inside my door.
It was a cookbook from Hawkhurst from the part where Joanne lives, nice thought and a good way of taking part, to see how it looks and that the food tradition is a strong part of the village and the Kent/Sussex surroundings. I also get a postcard with a Puffin/ Lunnefågel.

Joanne has also send me some chillies, it was a nice little package as the once you have safety matches in, the idea and the shape of the package was the same, a great idea to present a product I think. I like to sow and see things grow, so this will be a small project closer to the spring. F I have luck with it, I can have my own Serrano chillies from Mexico, travel from UK to Sweden in later summertime.

I always get deeply touched over my friends that are thinking of me in the right time, my week has be hard and I have taking some personal decision to go further with some things, so the thing I needed was a thought and there it was in a shape of a letter from a friend, thinking of me. Sometimes you get sign from someone and it’s always nice.
THANK YOU Joanne!

Sissi Westerberg...

Eskilstuna konstmuseum – I am open…
http://eskilstuna.se/default2____131646.aspx

I meet Sissi Westerberg once; it was 2004 at the workshop Now Chaos by Ruudt Peters in Ravenstein, Holland we was working together in a week.
She was a nice person and an interesting jewellery artist and now when I was looking around at internet I found some of her works and also her blog. Nice to see what colleges have been doing the last years… Take a look by your self.
I like this sculpture very very much, it scare the shit out of me in one way and it wake my curiosity to life…

I don’t know if the two sculptures are from the same exhibition, but is a similar art expression any way… The pic in the bottom is from the exhibition in Eskilstuna.

VÄLKOMMEN!

Det senaste året har det mesta varit svart.
Oljekatastrofen fläckade stränderna svarta. Askmolnet lade stora delar av Europa i grå dimma. Gruvarbetare, på jakt efter
jordens skatter, stängdes in i mörker.

shell inspiration…

Shells on a pole, the images I took in Spain, the shell ring is from Indonesia a gift from Montserrat when I was in Spain, Formentera (bought in Formentera).
A nice idea to use a shell to do a ring and I like the elegance of the ring, its looks a little bite luxury when you where it, and it shines as metal.

May be I mix apple and pears hear, may be it’s not the same shells?!

lizard inspiration…

Inspiration by nature or some kind of replica?!

A replica is a copy that is relatively indistinguishable from the original.

Some lizards from the island Formentera in Spain, Montserrat Lacomba has taking the photo when I meet the lizards in real life, a college of her at the market at Formentera has done the little metal lizard it could be a earring or a brooch.

The small lizard sculpture I have done as a gift to Montserrat when I was visit here on her lovely summer island Formentera.

The mummified lizard was a finding at Formentera, I leave it there…
