The photo is from Karin’s website.

I was invited by my work to see Askungen or Cinderella at the municipal library.
It was a great play with only four great actors and a nice piece of scenery.
IF you have the time I can warmly recommend seeing it!

a photo walk in the snow...

Thursday at lunchtime, I took a photo walk in the snow, one more amazing sunny and snowy day… Now I will end post snow photos, but it’s hard to stop, it’s sooooooooooooo beautiful and it makes me happy, it’s so easy to be present when it like this, quiet and peaceful.

It felt like being in the mountains.

Thursday morning on my way to work…

I’m fascinated by the snow or what the snow do with the city and the citizens…
The snow lights up, both out-of-doors and the inside.

I haven’t figured out what kind of colourful “Christmas” installation this is, in my eyes it looks really weird… (The last frame).

Monday a lovely winter day as a fairytale…

A clear blue sky with small cotton clouds and snow hanging white and heavy from the trees… And a low sun throwing shadows among the trees.

You just wait for the Santa landed with the reindeers some days before Christmas because of the perfect condition of the snow, the temperature and the sun, now I believe that Santa is coming in the evening, so we can’t see him…
But imagine IF he had come a beautiful day like this once, it has been an outstanding and absolutely special veiw…
It could of course be absolutely enough with one reindeer looking along behind a pine tree or a squirrel jumping from branch to branch in this light, silent landscape of snow.

This is not a usual view in Gothenburg, almost always when the snow comes, we got grey slurry snow after some hours, but this time it has been white and beautiful for some days and the snow light up the city and the landscape and it’s like walking in a cold cotton landscape.
I enjoy it and longing for my old hoods up in the north of Sweden.

Monday morning in the centre of Gothenburg… and close by my work…

the Second Advent… what a perfect day...

Today we had a really beautiful winter landscape here in Gothenburg, the temperature was around 0 and the snow was slide down very slowly and silent, the whole neighbourhoods was in a white silent… I took an hour photo walk and got home with 94 images, some views and some close ups from my hoods, Majorna.

Here you can see some of them.
It’s started with some morning photos from my kitchen window, a nice sign to wake up to…

I clear my head and get some fresh air, I get happy for all the lovely snow figures that people have done, I get happy to get snow under my feet’s and I meet smiling people, longing for the right snow texture, and today it was a perfect winter weather for children, for adults, for everyone…

The Lovikka mitten are made by my mother she has got stocked in the mittens swamp and doing a lot of lovely mitten to me and my sister and her child. I’m very very happy and pleased for the entire mitten that my mother sends me.
I took a photo, so my mother could see that I wear them.

the HDK Christmas market 2010...

All this Christmas markets drizzle closely this time of the year.
It’s nice when the studios and workshops and schools and other places open the doors and show, sell qualitative art and handicraft.
In this time of the year in Sweden it’s felt like you just want to be indoors under a wool blanket and read a good book, not walking around in the hoods… But I do it, I like to see what artist has come up with for Christmas and it could be nice to find some good, nice and interesting art piece for reasonable coin.

Elisabeth Ohlson Wallins photo exhibition Jerusalem…

The exhibitions last day, today… Only 3 weeks at Världskulturmuseet /World culture museum in Gothenburg, a short time for an interesting exhibition that wake up different group of peoples emotions, it was strong photos and when I was searching on internet to see if I could find the once that I like most, I couldn’t find them, the media has done the choose to show the men in the photos more then the strong woman photos.
I like the exhibition for the Bible quotation and that it was a film with a interview with Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin there she explain, why, how and so on she had done and think and act , really really interesting.
It was a rigorous security when you entire the exhibition, they check your bag and then afterwards they told me that I have to leave it in a safety box, it was like a flight to Jerusalem more then 15 beautiful and strong photos I was going to see two floor up with the elevator…
The photos is like paintings and it’s amazing to see this kind of strong, beautiful and well compose photos and the most fantastic about it is that it upset people, it’s not so easy these days to stir up people, I think. So when it’s happen in good or bad ways I think it’s good art, for me art are sometime that touch some leave trace that affect. Art that tells you something or ask questions or just leave you there with more questions without having noon eels then yourself to answer it…

Now I can’t recommend you to visit it, because of the last day today, but may be it will show up in some other place later on?!

At last I want to say that I admire Elisabeth Ohlson Wallins work very very much and absolute also her previews work.

The photo is from internet.

Liseberg this afternoon...

I took a short walk to Liseberg to see all the lights there, I just saw it from the outside, but it was beautiful and very very cold. I meet two guards there and one of the one took photo of me with my camera and the other one want to be in the photo with me, I believe that they thought that I was a tourist and may be I told them in a way that it sound as I only visit Liseberg for a short stop.
I try to catch the reflections in the building across the street, but is was nicer in reality, as always...

I also stopped by in the centre, Nordstan is our biggest shopping centre in the middle of the city, I’m not so found of that place, but I have some business I have to do, so I was there for a short while too.
