Anna is a friend of mine, but even if I have known her for a long time, I have never seen her paintings. Here I have taking a lot of photos, most of them are close ups from her huge paintings or drawings or collage.

I really really like what I saw and I have to go back and look closer, under an opening is so many nice people to say hi to and of course to speak to the artist too.

I like the colourfulness, the humour and also that I, as a view has to think twice…

I can recommend you to visit the exhibition and it makes an extra spice if you also get some of Annas performing, she is really good to arrange “dances”.

Anna is the girl with the blue skirts at the photos… it’s her dog at the outside the gallery too…

Good Luck Anna!!!

I just take one photos, but I have to recommend Dan Perrins paintings, so as the text says at the Konstepidemin blog, take a fika ( = a cup of coffee and some thing to eat) and take a look.

Saturday... Kulturlördag...

Now we finally can see some kind of spring signs in the nature, so fantastic!

Today I had a break from my own jewellery work; I was meeting friends and colleges, a lovely sunny Saturday with a fika outdoors at Konstepidemin and a lot of great exhibition openings, Konstepidemin are one of my favourite places in Gothenburg.

a brooch...

One more piece before I close for today… a brooch with more or less the same idea that in the necklace…

finally…

Necklace.

It was a very long time since I have such a problem to finish a piece, so much struggle, but now it’s here to stay and be a part of the coming up exhibition in May…

I’m satisfied with the result, thanks for that…

My plan for today was to take my bike downtown to the lecturing by Birgit Laken, but no time for it today.

great energy...

This energy power cake or candy I got as a gift from Agusti, Montserrats husband in Girona, Spain. Among other nice gifts…
Today I really needed this, so THANK YOU very much Agusti!

It kept my blood sugar at a perfect level.

overheated...

A day full of stress, headache, sunshine and a lecture at HDK that I really want to listen at…

I struggle with the technique today, I have a plan and an idea but the material aren’t with me and that makes me crazy in a very bad way, I need to drop it for some hours and then get back and fight again, I know how I want it now, and that’s good, but now I have to know how to master the material.

you have to be patience and let the piece take shape...

Yesterday I meet a friend and took a fika at one of my favourite café near by my home.

We were talking about our travelling, she has been to Egypt and I to Spain…
We were also talking about the working process, work that “just” is, and that the viewer hopefully can see in the finish piece, that s the mission and goal, to do a great work before, thinking over, redone and so on, just to reach the final result.

This is the hardest thing with being an artist I think, I always forget the time between and it also gives me headache and lots of doubts, the time that I need to have for the pieces to
mature… because the jewellery pieces absolutely need to mature. I need to see, feel and think about the final result and that you can’t hurry, you have to be patience and let the piece take shape, both in your head and also practical.

For me it’s hard to work with the time I can’t show… even if I know that everyone have this kind of time, before doing something…

I’m glad about my friends who can help me with putting things in the right context and also talk me throw my doubts, and tell me that it’s the same thing happens every time I started to work with some bigger project… I know that it’s a part of the working process, but in somehow I always have forgot it from one time to an other…
