I don’t know why, but I really, really like things with animals in it… It reminds me about my childhood and makes me happy. It is the mixed of serious and playfulness that started up “new” thoughts, put things in other directions that I like…

Smörgåsbord [ˌsmœrɡɔsˈbuːɖ] or julbord is a Swedish word which refers to a type of Scandinavian meal served buffet-style in Swedish cuisine.

Today they have a nice Christmas julbord at Nääs handicraft & design school, and I was invited…
It was really, really good food and good company!

grey and grey...

My working place/area till Christmas, one week more… Nääs Fabriker, Tollered.

Today I took these two photos just to show how it could looks in Sweden when it is a grey blanket all over the landscape… It’s always nice with snow when it’s wintertime, but here in the South of Sweden it nearly almost like this, grey and cold and no sun at all…
I don’t know if I ever get used to this winter weather… up in the North of Sweden it could be colder, but it never felt like this and the sun and the snow light up the landscape up in the North… Just now I longing for going “home”.

no name...

When you get the paper to order the book about 247 craft artist in Sweden, my necklace photo is one of the example on the paper… I got glad when I saw it, but it’s not so many who knows who has done what…

"This is a very exciting time. I am producing my most recent non-production work since my MFA show. This piece is printed in PA Nylon which helps it flex to fit around the wearer's neck. As always I must thank the folks at Paramount PDS for helping me realize my artistic vision".

I try to find new shapes, transform them into copper and do some jewellery about it in the end…
I like the idea of put similar shapes together. I can see these shapes as in really big sizes.

Karin Jonsson...

I have only heard about this tower with a crying child inside, of course an art piece and not for real, real… I have been fascinated about this art piece even if I have never seen it by my self and I had no idea of who the artist was… I have always admired this artist, even if I don’t know which artist it was/is…
Now I know! It is Karin Jonsson.
I have visited her blog and there I saw her story about this crying sound in the tower.
It’s all about a fairytale that she heard as child about a girl, Rapunzel who get stocked into a tower …

I think this is amazing and also a little bite scary, but that’s the nice in the whole project/art piece/sculpture… You can’t be sure…

Thank you Karin for this kind of art!
I hope I can see it by myself one day… Or is it closed now???
