I wish that 2016 will be a year when I get the opportunity to show my jewellery that I made in 2015, in a variety of places both in Sweden and abroad. I've done some things that have not been shown to the public, which would be super fun to be allowed to do, see if wearing when they come out in another context than in my workshop...

Yesterday...

Yesterday I ran into a new sculpture deployed in the city ... minutes before I took the pictures, set the small real children to interact with the bronze girl on fantasy animal, a nice picture of that art can be useful, play-friendly and very learning in the end.

Unfortunately, I saw no sign of who the artist is ... I checked really, but perhaps it had not yet arrived at the place, always fun to know who is responsible for the work.

Intressanta iakttagelser av de båda tycker jag, något som jag kan ha med mig och i slutändan också kan få vara del av, att styrelser kommer att ha en 70% närvaro av kvinnor i ledande positioner och att vi en "vacker dag" kanske måste kvotera in män i styrelserummen...

Saturday, Kviberg market...

Rain and snow day today, storm and not at all funny actually going out the door ...
However, I and a friend went to Kivbergs market and botanised among all that is there, things, smells, tastes, meetings with causes people from other cultures, etc. I love Kviberg!

I become uneasy at the prospect of this being squeezed out by commercial forces, forces that find this unbecoming of our society, that one can operate / use the land better than a lousy market for a lot of causes people of mixed descent. It does not take into consideration or look (if you choose commercialism, profit, and that they want the land) is that it is a highly social institution, where many come into their own, meet and socialize, shop and sell, hang out for a few hours Saturdays and Sundays.

Lucky me who just need to jump on the 11 tram and swish approximately 30 mitures later I ended up in Kviberg, another part of the town in many ways... Try it if you have time!

Nothing is perfect there, but everything is still very nice ... not at all like the city's shopping malls, these are people talking to each other, exchange smiles with each other and are generally friendly ...

Naturally, there are strange things here and there are signs warning of pickpockets etc. But I must say to the agency's defense, it is also in the city center of major shopping malls also, which is experiencing atleast I that those working are not always the happiest types ... but on the other hand, working the ones who work inside the town and in these large complex day in and day out, to earn their living bread ... on Kviberg is the selling Saturdays and Sundays, and what they do in between, I have no idea about, but that it needed a place Kviberg it I am one of many who endorse.

A nice development in the city, a new movie theater that opened ... Once upon a time there was a cinema there, then came the commercial forces between them and large companies had their business there ... Now it's back to the culture, wonderful!

Once upon a time Göteborg had lots of cinemas

1901 opened the first cinema in Gothenburg in Arcade. The cinema was in the basement had earth floor and the seats were planks laid on trestles.

82 cinemas has existed in Gothenburg between 1902 and 2000, assuming the physical premises. If you count the number of cinema name will be more than 100, substituting gladly name in connection with the new owner or a major remodeling.

Paley history

Paley was launched in September 1945 by Ari and Marianne Paley. Ari was born in Russia and Marianne in Hungary. The couple Paley ran his café in many years, and in the sixties was the business of the owner of Petterson's pastry shop on the Avenue. The third owner was baker Peter Lillhage. He ran the business until 1991, when it was bought by Eva Olsson, who in 1985 had started the Miss Olsson's Café. Paley was rebuilt, had a bakery and became Evas Paley. From the outset, Paley attracted all kinds of visitors. Even today all go on Paley, we are very proud of. We want everyone to feel welcome with us.

In February 2013, we closed Paley for a comprehensive reconstruction, April 20th we opened the doors for new Evas Paley. We have received a fantastic reception of both old and new guests. We have to be on the old charm of the property and found much inspiration from the 20s, 30s and 40s. To our help we have had David Golen, architect and designer.

We have let renovate all our old chandeliers and made contemporary lamps at a glassworks in Småland. We have made comfy armchairs as we climbed with soft velvet so you'll want to sit long with us. The coffee you get in our new fine porcelain is decorated by Ellen Siesjö, who also helped us with all the beautiful patterns on the frosted mirrors, signs, wood and wrought iron details.
