Katarzyna Piotrowicz...

I miss this last exhibition at gallery Sintra by Katarzyna Piotrowicz... But now I had the opportunity to see some of her things in the handicraft shop of Sintra. Lovely piece! I get touched and I like them very very much.

Absolutely my style of shoes, I couldn’t resist them in the window-pane, I bought them without any delay.
Now I have to wait for the real summer so I can wear them all the time...

breaking the waves...

A brilliant stage play!

Tuesday 3/5 this week I was looking at breaking the waves in a church close by my home; St Johannes kyrkan.
The main character Bess McNeill was playing by an absolutely great and for me unknown actress, Karin Lycke…
I have to say that I haven’t seen such a good actress for a very very long time and I get really moved about the way Karin Lycke handle the character. I love her performance!
I wish Karin Lycke good luck with all her coming up stage play in the future and I hope to see her in other stage play.

Unlucky this play has ended now, Thursday was the last play, otherwise I had told you all to see this great play.

When I look at internet for information about Lars von Triers Breaking the waves, it hits me that Karin Lycke is a copy of a young Emily Watson.

Breaking the Waves is a 1996 film directed by Lars von Trier and starring Emily Watson. Set in the Scottish Highlands in the early 1970s, it tells the story of an unusual young woman, Bess McNeill, and of the love she has for Jan, her husband.

Mikiko Minewaki had a lecture about her jewellery art the same evening here in Gothenburg, unlucky I miss that, it had been great to listen to the speeches; I meet Mikiko Minewaki when I was in Tokyo 2000, it had been great to say hallo to her 11 years later.

En naturlig händelse, en barndom berättelse, en bok jag läst, minnen och känslor jag är lastade med utgör källan till mina smycken.
I mitt senaste verk, blev jag inspirerad av japanska Dr Masaru Emoto's forskning om vatten kristaller. Hans upptäckt visar att vattenmolekyler utförs av våra negativa och positiva tankar, ord och känslor.

Jag har läst hans böcker och skissa från hans fotografier vatten kristall. Jag tog i princip en del från det kristallklara formade efter ord som "kärlek och tacksamhet","Tack ", utsatt för vatten.

I min utställning, hoppas jag att påminna oss kraften i våra tankar och den helande kraften i "kärlek och tacksamhet"!

Mikiko says about her work:

"I was born in the countryside. Every day I picked flowers from the fields and made necklaces from them. This is the source of my work.One day I found that these natural forms were hidden in plastic products. The material which I cut first was a plastic capsule for small toy and its color was translucent-red."

Galleri Hnoss presenterar stolt den japanska smyckekonstnären Mikiko Minewaki.

Mikiko Minewaki är född i Akita, Japan 1967 och är idag boende och verksam i Tokyo. Hennes arbeten har visats runt om i Europa, bland annat på den stora smyckemässan Schmuck i Munchen och med utställningen Contemporary Japanese Jewellery på Crafts Council Gallery i London.

På den nya japanska smyckekonstscenen är Mikiko Minewaki en av förgrundsgestalterna. Opåverkad av trender stod hon utanför de nymodernistiska strömningar som gjorde sig gällande i Japan på 1980-talet och har istället alltid stått närmre en japansk hantverkstradition där tillverkningsprocessen är viktigare än koncept och teori.

Mikiko Minewaki bygger sitt arbete utifrån massproducerade plastprodukter som hon hittat och satt ihop till nya former. På detta sätt visar hon att unika smycken kan komma från vardagliga material, de osynliga objekten som omger oss. Hon menar att det finns möjligheter i all form. Det gäller bara att hitta den, plocka ut den och göra den till sin egen.

På Galleri Hnoss kommer vi att visa Kids Room, en serie smycken inspirerade och delvis uppbyggda av fragment från hennes barns avlagda leksaker.

Gothenburg, now finally the spring is here and the summer will soon be a fact…

I feel happy when all the trees are blossom, it felt like a easer life when everything turn into some thing new, something fresh, something beautiful by their own force…
when winter turns to spring and everything started to grow.

But I can also felt some kind of stress; I want to be outdoors the whole time but that’s not always possible when you need to earn your bread and butter…

Spring sign and a happy Easter, I took some day off and went to my parents in Sundsvall / Alnö, in the north of Sweden.
It was great to relax in the spring or almost summer sun for some days…
I absolutely need it!

Now I’m back on track and filled up with new energy.

Here are some pics of spring flowers and views from my old hoods, Alnö…
Even a line of crane navigates over our heads that is a real nice spring sign I think. I love the spring cranes and when you see the lapwing at the farming lands, you know that the spring is here to stay.
I love to pick spring flowers and I love to see them close to the verge, I love the colour and the new that they bring with them after a looooong cold and often grey winter.
Coltsfoot is my absolutely favourite spring flower or as in Swedish tussilago.

And is there some thing more fantastic then to barbeque outdoors?!
The taste and the smell, it’s sooooooooo great.

Blueberry pancake is something that I really like and my mother made it for me…
Lucky me!

We also celebrate my little sisters 42 anniversary, she had her birthday at the 11 of April, so some day later we eat a delicious chocolate cake that my mother made, my mother is a great chef.
