yesterday plans change into a spontaneity beer drinking afternoon…

Yesterday I had the plan, to see Alice in the Wonderland in 3-D, “unlucky” the film that I have chosen didn’t have the 3-D technique… So shit happens (in a good way this time...) and I and my friend decide to see the film some other day in 3-D.

We ended up at a nice place with a good spot for the sun, a lovely afternoon with beer, palm trees and a lot of sun and good company.

I have to say that it is an easier life when the sun shows up; people and I get happier and more spontaneous…

an absolutely great evening with friends and colleges here in Gothenburg…

Wednesday the 5th of May -18.00 at Konstepidemin Norman Weber speeches about his work, work from the start until today, very interesting and personally I got a lot of new energy for my own pieces…
Look forward to see his show at gallery Hnoss who open tomorrow, Saturday the7th of May.
Norman Weber is that man at the top of the post.

Afterward we were some that took a beer at Gyllene Prag, just down the hill from Konstepidemin… Jacob Nyberg was showing some of his paintings there, so we decide that it was a great idea to go there and have a look and a lovely spring beer in spontaneity and simplicity and with good friends company.

It was, Jacob Nyberg, Janina Kurp, Serena Holm + Serenas boyfriend (ops, forgot his name), Åsa Christensson, Özay Emert and I at Gyllene Prag.

Thank you all, it was a GREAT evening in good company.

a lovely morning, with a sun that we all need…

I wake up this Thursday morning with the sun shining outdoors and when I open up my e-mail box this morning this lovely shiny inspiration photos was there, from another place of Gothenburg, from my friend Janina Kurps home in Haga. Same morning in different places…

I like when friends send me photos from their daily life and what they see and want to share.

plastic, pineapple, pepper, protection, phenomena… or Paula…

Necklace with plastic and glass beads and a plastic pineapple pepper mill…

cut out paper doll necklace…

I am trying my best to catch up… I have a lot of post that I want to add to my blog, it’s from my trip to Spain, it’s from my daytrip to Louisiana in Denmark looking at the Pipilotti Rist show and a lot of other interesting artist as well… it’s some interesting photos from my artist friend Thomas C Chung and it is some nice spring images from my surroundings.

I am working these days to finish my solo exhibition in my hometown… Everything takes more time then you expect…

So, dear visitors, this is one of my last pieces… its plastic laminated cut out dolls from the 1950 that I have found at the flea market in my hometown, Sundsvall.
I have covered the lines with white glass beads.

coltsfoot or tussilago...

Coltsfoot, one of my absolutely favourite spring flowers, small shinny yellow suns on the ground, that’s an amazing childhood spring feeling for me, unlucky it isn’t so many coltsfoot flowers in the Gothenburg area… But here I found some… Lucky me!

some blurry birds…

lecture

Wednesday 5 May 18.00
Konstepidemin paviljong 10

Come and meet Norman Weber, Jewellery artist from Germany.
After the lecture drink and refreshments will be served.

Norman Weber exhibition, Galleri hnoss Konstepidemin Staurday 8 May 12.00-16.00

Statement
House & Garten originates from old photographs depicting Norman Webers childhood home. Ordinary images of the familys house and garden are translated into digital prints, later joined together with silver and steel into brooches and pendants.

The next collection Portrait is also rooted in the artist's childhood where photos of old toys from the 70s interact with other materials. The combination of figurative elements with flat surfaces and more three-dimensional structures often reappear in Norman Weber's work.

In the third series Schaustücke the jewellery challenge the viewer's sense of what is real or fiction. Seemingly genuine pearls or stones may in fact be artificial structures. Jewellery seduces and parade. It's about effect for effects´s sake.
